The purpose of this blog is to allow Sabidius to maintain a record of miscellaneous items relating to Latin and Greek grammar, literature and history which he has found to be of interest.

Sabidius' previous appearance in history was in the following Latin epigram of Martial (40-104 A.D.):

"Non amo te, Sabidi; nec possum dicere quare;

       Hoc tantum possum dicere, non amo te."

In English: "I do not love you, Sabidius, nor can I say why. This only can I say: I do not love you."

With all due respect to Dr.Fell, Sabidius hopes that through his blog he may become more popular.

This blog has also been utilised by Sabidius' coadjutor, Andrew William Panton, M.A. (Oxon), M.A.  (Lond.), Dip. Ed., Dip. Ed. Man., in order to publish a number of articles, essays, theses and poems relating to subjects of interest to him at various times in his life, including essays on educational matters in particular, which, for whatever reason, he has retained.
